"I miss them already"

...said Dallin on the way home from the airport this morning.

We were so lucky to have Grammie, Auntie Becca, Mylie and Luke all come for a visit this past weekend. Thank you both for making the effort to come all the way to Texas and put up with our crazy weather and terrible heat. We love you!!!! And can't wait to see you again!

Day 1
We are beginning to think Southwest Airlines has a serious problem with keeping track of luggage. Our last visitor, Dad, had his bag lost and returned after a full day of being with us, and poor Mylie was without a car seat for the first day too. So... we decided to wait it out until Mylie had a seat before we ventured too far. So most of our first day activities (Friday) were close to home.

Becca was a trooper and went running with me (while pushing three of the kiddos) in the heat. We decided not to go too far (because it was the middle of the day) and just ran the kiddos to the park. Abby (who had stayed up to pick up Grammie at the airport the night before) was pretty tired - so she and Grammie stayed back at home with the AC :).

Mylie and Dallin
Swinging Fun

Hello Connor

Connor loves to swing from the bar above the slide as much as he likes going down it.
Mylie, I think, liked swinging much better than sliding.

Dallin loves the running start with the slide.
He bounces about half way down before he actually slides!
Crazy Boy!

Later that night, we headed out to Red Robin (Abby's choice) to celebrate her completion of Sing Spell Read and Write: Level 1 and her finishing up Kindergarten. Way to go Abby!
She has worked really hard this year and is now an excellent reader and pretty great at Math too. We love you Abby! Keep up all your hard work! You are an excellent student!

  1. I still can't believe SW! Anyway, it was still a fun day around the house... that's for sure. And that run in the humidity killed me!! Seriously.. I don't know how you do it. Still laughing about Dallin's jump/slide. :)

    Yay for Abby!
