A Day with Dad at the SPACE CENTER

We were so excited to have our Daddy back home after another weekend away at an Orthodontic Conference. But we were even more excited when he told us he didn't have to go to school the next day!!! Hooray!!!

We seized the opportunity and headed to the Space Center here in Houston. We couldn't leave Houston without going there - it has been on our "things to see" list. It was actually a really fun place with lots to see, touch, and explore. The kids had a blast and so did the parents. I think it definitely peaked an interest in space :).

The kids lifting a weight ... the "heaviness" varied depending on the planet you chose.
Even funnier is the reflection of Connor in the mirror :).

Right now they have a "Risk" Exhibit... pretty fun. John especially enjoyed the bed of nails.

Connor playing peak-a-boo in the giant indoor playground for kids.
Think McDonalds times 10!
It was nice to be able to let the kids run for a little bit... uncontrolled.

Abby touching an actual stone from the moon.

Checking out the moon rocks.

Reading the signs in the Space Station Model.
Everyone was pretty enthralled with the spinning man at the top of the station.

You can't go to "Space" without eating some Astronaut Ice Cream.
This was one of the kids favorite parts.

I would highly recommend this fun adventure - especially in the heat of the summer (they have great air conditioning) with a coupon. Very fun! We couldn't resist the upgrade to the season pass... so if anyone has a pass and wants to go... give us a call :).

  1. That looks like so much fun! That was one place on my list of things to do that didn't get done before we left Texas.
