Just Another Friday

Picnic at the Park...

We love the park.
Today I let the boys bring their monster trucks. A real treat for them since usually we have a "no toys at the park" policy. They had a great time racing their trucks down the slides.

As many of you already know, Connor has a real fear of the wind, rain, and thunder right now. He is a little traumatized from one of our previous adventures, which has now scared him. Hopefully he will get over it soon. Here is his reaction today at the park... we could see dark clouds in the distance (but that is normal), but when the winds started to pick up, the temp dropped, and the clouds were coming closer fast... we packed it up quickly and headed for the car. This was Connor's face...

And this was Dallin's... he was just happy we beat the rain :).

After what seemed to be a long afternoon (Mom was tired and the boys were bored), I decided to make something "fun" for the boys. "Marble Shoots" They of course loved their marble shoots. They spent quite awhile racing marbles down their noodles. Hooray for the simple things.

On a different note... I came across this quote today. I really like it. Just thought I would share....
“You must not mistake passing local cloud cover for general darkness.” ~ Neal A. Maxwell
