Weekend Adventure Continues

Saturday evening, everyone finally washed their bodies and got ready to dye some eggs. Let me just say... it was the fastest easter egg dying I have ever seen :). Dallin was in turbo speed. Top to bottom we were done in about 15 mins! After our egg fun, we waited for the sun to go down so we could roast some marshmallows. The kids were in heaven. What a great dad to come up so many fun things to do. :) That night the kids were so tired they went right to sleep. They had played hard.

Weekend Adventure

Thursday afternoon, John got an itch for a vacation... and boy are we glad that he did. :) Lucky for us there was a great "last minute deal" for a little beach house down at Surfside Beach. (only about 50 mins from our house) We were so excited... and so were the kids :).

Friday afternoon it was a bit cloudy, so we just got settled, played some frisbee, and walked along the beach. Yes, Dallin fell in - getting his only sweatshirt soaked! Oh well, good thing we had a dryer in the little beach house.

Saturday morning the kids were up early and ready to go. After a yummy breakfast we hit the beach. Because we also wanted to watch General Conference that day... we played for a couple of hours, then headed back up to the house for naps, lunch, and conference. After the first session was over... we headed back out for some more fun... :)

Connor getting a ride to the beach. Thanks Dad.

These boys LOVE to dig.

Abby and John playing football/catch.

Connor getting ready to catch the wave....

But the wave caught him and knocked him over....
And he continued to be scared of the waves for the rest of the day.

Dallin playing cars... in our monster truck paths.

After the second session of Conference... Kite flying. The best $4 I ever spent. The kids loved it.

Connor not happy Dad tried to take him in the water.

These two spent hours running and jumping in the waves.

Our kiddos LOVE the beach. They could play there for hours!

Pre-Easter Celebrations

Sucking on "Bunny Face" suckers

Painting Bunnies
My kids LOVE to paint. This day was no exception. They were all so proud of their finished bunnies.
The funny part... is that after the bunnies dried - they became toys. :) The kids played bunny family with their figurines for hours.

**Thanks Grammie for the Pre-Easter Fun!**
**And Thanks to our other Grammie and Papi for our Yummy Easter Treats!**

Friends... Built In

Course 2 ... Complete

We Tried

Wednesday Dallin woke up feeling fine. I thought the illness was gone. Thank goodness. And he was relieved that I was going to let him go to his "Preschool Egg Hunt." And I was relieved for all the kids that the sickness had passed and they would all be able to have a fun afternoon.

WRONG!
We arrived at the park at about 11 am ... after playing on the toys for about an hour... Dallin came over and told me... "I don't feel so good, Mom. I need to throw-up. Now!" To the bushes we went. Luckily there was no vomit, but we immediately packed up and headed home. As we are walking to the car, Dallin said, "I am sorry guys... for not getting to go to the egg hunt. I am sorry I am sick." (How sweet is he?) I was very proud of Abigail... she didn't even complain once. She just helped me pack it up and head home.

So.... of course.... I had to promise the kids a hunt at home :).
(After Dallin had slept for 3 hours)

Lately...

At Our House

It seems once one is sick... they all get sick. Dallin happened to be the last one to get the bug. (Except for Mom and Dad ... we are still holding strong. Fingers crossed it stays that way)

What we assumed to be a 24 hr flu, just kept lasting days... poor kids.

Needless to say, there has been a lot of sleeping at our house.
